i took the day off from my studies to squish the curiousity within me about Japan Good Design Exhibition at Japan Creative Centre. i'm just a bumpkin who knows nought about the technical aspects of design and architecture - can only go "ooh" and "wow"

One must go through strict requirements to qualify as a nominee for G-mark Good Design Award, eg help save the earth and help the people. Their exhibit range from drawn architectural pictures of the "green" cargo ship to viewing the ordinary everyday use of a pen in its showcase

They even have a 1958 design! Awesome..

Did i forget to mention to try out Fujiflim's latest offering of a 3D camera which turns ANY 2D environment to 3D which will only be in Singapore around next June?! And Canon's latest camcorder?! And the hologram-electronic picture frame? Next year they'll be bringing in the printer that prints 3D photos!! COOL..

They have a e-library which features the centre's artistic director's awesome reclining sofa. And they have a small selection of anime, cultural programmes, J-pop videos to choose from and more books about Japanese designs and bookguides of - to a design bumpkin me lah - high-level design and photos of Japan. Yes, they celebrate Gundam's 30th anniversary with an excerpt of the first Gundam! really cool! i din get to watch it totally cos i had to go somewhere else but to watch that even for just some minutes as i my jaw dropped in Amuro-fan-awe XD

Japan Creative Centre is at 4 Nassim Road. Click here for exhitibition details!
